Smoking or Non Smoking

It’s a warm summer day, the sky is blue, and the wind feels good on your face.
You’re rolling in and out of sweet sweeping curves on a long quiet mountain road.
As you take in all the sights and smells, it’s hard to not think about who made all this beauty possible. The sound of the wind and growl of that big twin is all you hear, and at that moment, nothing at all seems to matter, all the cares of life are miles behind, nothing to bring you down, you’ve never felt more alive than right this minute.
The screeching of brakes jerks you back into reality, and the reality is, there’s a truck in your lane, coming right at you, all you can see is headlights and the grill and nowhere to go. Even though it all happens in second, it seems like everything goes into slow motion.
You know this is it, you think about life and all the things you will never do now.
You think about your wife and kids, will I ever see them again.
The next thing you hear is that horrible thud as you make contact, then a short silence before you hit the pavement….Then it happens, lights out!!
Everything goes black and you’re gone.
Now you may think ‘Well that’s that, I’m dead’, but the truth is, your soul is very much alive and it’s going to one of two places for all eternity, Heaven or Hell.

Are you saved?

Everytime you jump on your scooter and head down the road, you make a million decisions the whole time. Throttle, clutch, shifting, braking, turning, leaning and on and on. As much of blast as it is to roll on the throttle down a wide open road, you never stop looking around for danger, your always looking ahead to see what’s coming, and make a grip of choices before you ever get there.
Well that’s what salvation is like, no matter who you are, how bad or good you are, what you do for a living, if you love to party or just hang out, we all have one thing in common, that cant be changed or avoided: we’re all gonna die someday and you have to make a choice before you get there. But before that happens we have to do our best to live this life the best way we can, and we don’t always make great choices along the way. If you make a bad choice doing 60 on a mountain road, you may not get a chance to make it twice.
Getting saved means that you have made a decision to invite Jesus into your life, to change the way you look at life and death. It means that you know for sure that one day, you know that you wont be here anymore, but know that you will be somewhere, and that somewhere is Heaven and it means that you believe that Jesus came, and died for you so that you could be there with Him forever. It means that you are willing to let Jesus, show you another way to live, it doesn’t mean the end of having a good time, or that you’ll be running around knockin’ on peoples doors selling bibles, or God forbid, having to wear a suit and tie. It has nothing to do with how you look, what you ride or who you were before you met Him. He will use the very best of you and take away the worst, if you let Him.
He will take you places you never thought you could go and meet people you never thought you would meet, but most of all you’ll know deep down in your heart that He will never leave you or let you down, ever! Getting saved doesn’t mean you change who you are, just what you are, saved or not. See, Jesus works from the inside out, He starts at your heart and works His way to your head and a lot of good things happen in between. That’s why its called a “walk” it happens over time, actually, for the rest of you life.
The fact is, He wants you just the way you are, right where you are, because He will use people like you and me, to reach people like you and me, get it?
“Jesus loves bikers too”, it’s a cool t-shirt, but its also true. He gave His life so that we could be free to live and ride as we choose. He also gave us the choice to follow Him or turn our back on Him. I chose to check it out and what I found was a brother that I can count on anytime, anywhere, for any reason, I chose to follow Him, Its been the best ride of my life, what are you waiting for….Where are you riding to today?
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself, which place you will be going?
Have you ever had the feeling that there is something bigger than you “out there”?
If you have, that’s the Holy Spirit tugging on your heart, telling you that you are in need of a Savior, and His name is Jesus Christ. He came and died for your sins, so that you could spend forever with Him in Heaven, together with all the others that have asked Him into their lives, including your own family and friends that are saved.
