This year our Eagle Run Honoree is Patrick Joshua Caro, 23, of Redlands,
CA. He suffered a fatal motorcycle accident on Thursday December 8,
2016 on interstate 91/215 in Riverside, CA.
He was born in Apple Valley, CA on July 4, 1993, and during his short life
touched the lives of those who knew him best in a special and memorable
way.
Patrick is survived by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Patrick loved the outdoors and sports.
During his younger years, Patrick
earned many Cub Scout patches. He played soccer, football, and swam for
the Indian Hills Swim Team.
Patrick was on the Redlands High School swim and wrestling teams. He
was a passionate martial artist with over 14 years’ experience, earning him
two black belts in Shorin-ryu (Karate). He was also a beloved teacher,
mentor and an exceptional role model at the dojo. He is described as
hardworking, intelligent, responsible, and respectful with a “cool” wit. He
enjoyed making people laugh.
Patrick graduated from Redlands High School in 2011. He was attending
California Baptist University and was enrolled in the pre-med program.
He is described
by friends and teachers as magnetic, hilarious, kind,
encouraging and fun. He had a laid back attitude, “too blessed to be
stressed”. He was a calm, happy young man with a beautiful soul.
He was compassionate, thoughtful and reminded people to “slow down and
smell the roses from time to time”.
