12 Amazing Years of the Ray “Eagle” Ramirez Benefit Memorial Run

Thank you for your support & participation over the years to make each and every Eagle Run a success.

The Ray “Eagle” Ramirez Benefit Memorial Run has come to an end. We have decided that the 12th Eagle Run will be the last. It was a blessing to honor Ray Ramirez in such a giving way, something we know he would have certainly been so proud to have been done in his name. Many families were blessed abundantly and we had a blast putting the event on all these years. God has helped us come to this difficult decision and we believe that when doors are closed, others are opened. We look forward to continue to do many things that will keep Ray’s legacy going. It means so much to us that you all have made the Eagle Run a priority in your lives and schedules with your support and participation all of these years. So many great memories!!!

We end The Eagle Run after 12 amazing years, an incredible legacy considering the fact that the first Eagle Run was done for the family of Ray to spread his ashes at sea. It wasn’t intended to be an annual event. God had other plans, and it has been a great ride. We know that He has more plans in store too.

It has been our privilege to help many families honor their loved ones by giving them a fun filled day full of love from so many people they don’t even know. Most of us can empathize on some level with their sense of loss and it helps to know that none of us are alone as we go through the most difficult times in our lives.

Whatever your involvement has been with the Eagle Run, we sincerely thank you. You have made a difference. It takes a village.

We believe the legacy of Ray Ramirez as well as the legacy of each Honoree will live on through all of our acts of generosity, love and kindness.

Again, thank you for joining us in this amazing journey… The Eagle Run.

 History of the “Eagle Run”

Ray "Eagle" Ramirez The first Eagle Run was held in 2007 to raise funds for the family of Ray “Eagle” Ramirez.  The funds collected covered the cost of chartering a boat for Ray’s family to spread his ashes out to sea – a place Ray loved to be.

The intention from the beginning was not only to help provide funds for this family, but to make it into an annual event to benefit other families of deceased bikers with their wishes in their loved ones memory.

Ray “Eagle” Ramirez was a member and Vice President of the Black Sheep Inland Empire Chapter. He was struck on his motorcycle and died on December 2, 2006 in front of the Starbuck’s located on Washington Avenue in Colton, California.  Kim McGuire, an employee of that Starbucks, witnessed the accident and ran to Ray’s side. She held his hand and talked to him while he slipped into the arms of Jesus. Ray, a Marine veteran who served in the Vietnam era.
